Providing the opportunities for employees to engage in sports activities can give employees the opportunities that they might not consider or have the time to engage in otherwise. Since it is estimated that commuting to work and getting stuck in traffic results in about 42 lost hours a year per person, having the sports facilities at the workplace can be a way of helping employees to find that balance between work life and non-work life. This can help with stress release, provide motivation and reduce workplace absenteeism, which can cost between $2,650 and $3,600 a year per employee.

However, when providing these opportunities, employers need to balance cost with safety issues and one way to do this is by setting up inflatables for your employees to use. Here are a few suggestions.

Paintball tournaments

If your company has the land space, then setting up an area where employees can participate in paintball tournaments may be a good way to go. However, instead of using wooden backdrops, you might want to go with inflatables instead. Wood has the disadvantage of staying in the exact place that they have been put once installation is completed and this setup can get boring over time. Wood also has the potential to rot over time even if they have been weather-proofed and painted.

Unlike wood, inflatables can be moved around to create new and interesting fields for employees to play in, they do not rot and they provide a safe place to land on when falling from a backdrop, something that is known to happen when the game gets exciting.

Indoor inflatables

If you wish to provide the option to your employees but you do not have the outdoor space, there are other means by which to provide the option for extracurricular activity indoors. If you have sufficient indoor space, then you might consider setting up an inflatable rock climbing wall or an inflatable zip line option. This can provide a means by which employees and employers can bond and by which you can lift the morale of employees as you engage in the adrenaline-pumping activities of these extreme sports.

The cool thing about them is that, in addition to the safety harnesses which are provided, there is a softer landing provided by the inflatables rather than the hard ground. However, before setting up these activities, a risk assessment must be done and the necessary adjustments done for the health insurance policies to cover injury while using inflatables
