A lot of Americans love spending time on bodies of water, whether it be their local lake, river or even the ocean. From canoes to yachts, sailboats to kayaks, there are a whole manner of vessels that people enjoy their time out on the water in, but none will give you the same experience that whitewater rafting trips will. If you have never been on a whitewater trip, but you love the water and want to experience every aspect of it, then here are a few reasons why you should consider booking one sooner rather than later.

Feel The Strength

Most of the time when you are on top of the water, you are going with the flow on a calm surface. Even when there are swells or waves, if you are out on a vessel of any kind you will simply go over them or they will crash onto you and disperse quite quickly. On whitewater trips you will really feel how strong water can be. It almost feels like mother nature herself is tossing and toying with you, and it is an experience quite unlike anything else you are likely to find in the world, while still being very safe with capable tour operators.

Natures Rollercoaster

The most excitement you are likely to find in a water activity outside of whitewater rafting is through some kind of engineered fun, such as on the back of an inflatable donut being dragged by a jet at high speeds. While that can be very funny, it simply doesn't compare to the natural excitement you get from the randomness and constant changes that await you on whitewater trips. While that doesn't mean you will always be tense and alert (there are many gaps in between where you can talk and catch up with your fellow adventurers), it is an action-packed time.

As Hard Or Easy As You Like It

There are many different variations of whitewater trips across America. Some last for days on end, while others are simply a couple of hours. Some are extremely aggressive at all times, while others are more of a gentle pushing and pulling. A lot of whitewater trips can include children, but always check before you book to see the age and physical requirements that you will need to pass to go on the tour. At the end of the day it is still quite a draining activity. To be safe you might need to be a little bit more fit than other, more simple events, but that is all part of the fun and challenge of going on whitewater trips!
